International Consultant to the Apparatus of Government Commissioner on Gender Equality Policy to support implementation of the Strategy for Prevention and Response to Conflict-related Sexual Violence
UN Women is looking for an international consultant to provide day-to-day support to the Government Commissioner for Gender Equality through technical advice and expertise in improving the legislation and preparation of an action plan for the implementation of the Strategy for Prevention and Response to Conflict-Related Sexual Violence in Ukraine, and share the international best practices to operationalize the revised National Action Plan on implementation of UN SCR 1325 on Women, Peace and Security in the framework of the government policy on ensuring equal rights and opportunities men and women.
Consultant’s duties:
- Provide policy advice to the development of an action plan for the Strategy for Prevention of and Response to Conflict-related Sexual Violence through the provision of advisory services;
- Assist the Apparatus of Government Commissioner for Gender Equality Policy through advisory policy support on contextualizing best international practices, based on the initial needs identified by the Apparatus of the Government Commissioner for Gender Equality Policy and the international consultant;
- Provide the Apparatus of Government Commissioner on Gender Equality Policy and Ministry of Interior with the recommendations on amendments to the Criminal Law and provide recommendations to the development/amendment of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), internal guidelines and administrative order on investigation, documentation and accountability of the cases of conflict related sexual violence.
