Russia-UNDP Trust Fund approves $10 million for youth empowerment projects
Within the framework of the Youth Window, the UNDP-Russia Trust Fund Steering Committee approved project proposals to support young people in realizing their potential for sustainable socio-economic development: Unleashing Employment and Income Generating Opportunities for the Youth in the Regions of Armenia, Harnessing Youth Innovation Potential for Accelerated Sustainable Development in Belarus, Economic Empowerment of Youth and Developing Sustainable Solutions for Youth’s Entrepreneurship at the Local Level for Fostering Greater Social Cohesion and Resilience in Kyrgyzstan, Youth Empowerment through Skills Development and Promotion of Innovations in Tajikistan and Empowering the Youth to Embrace the Digital Economy and Digital Entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan.
Youth Window is a special thematic area to support systemic development solutions to the youth as a target audience and the driving force of sustainable development. Currently the Youth Window’s portfolio includes country-specific and regional initiatives for USD $20 million implemented in countries of Africa, Asia and the CIS.
