Stories of Russian experts in UN in Russia bulletin
The second issue of the UN in Russia bulletin for 2025 (May–August) features an article dedicated to the project "Knowledge management and capacity development in Russia-UNDP partnership."
Since 2017, as part of the project's key mechanism – Russian experts for international development – more than 100 specialists have successfully completed short-term tasks as UNDP international consultants in 12 offices around the world, including the CIS region, Cuba, Lao PDR and Serbia. In interviews, consultants who have worked in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and other countries shared their professional experience and personal impressions of working in the UN system.
The publication also focuses on the Internship programme for Russian master's students. Over the years of the programme, more than 50 young Russians have gained experience in UNDP offices in the CIS countries, Serbia and the Istanbul Regional Center. Graduates of the programme successfully build careers in various UN agencies and other international organizations, as well as in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Some stories are given in the article.
