The draft Concept of development of cooperation of the CIS member states in support of the youth volunteer movement was approved
On September 27, 2018 in Dushanbe, a meeting of the Council of CIS Foreign Ministers chaired by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirodjiddin Muhriddin reviewed and approved the draft Concept of Development of Cooperation of the CIS Member States on Support to the Youth Volunteer Movement and Action Plan for 2018-2020 on its implementation.
Elaboration of a Concept for the Development of Cooperation of the CIS Member States on Support to the Youth Volunteer Movement was supported within the framework of the regional project of the Russia-UNDP Trust Fund and the United Nations Volunteers Programme on Knowledge Management and Capacity Building in the Russia-UNDP Partnership, Phase I (2016-2018).
It is expected that the implementation of the goals and objectives of the Concept will have a positive impact on the development of national volunteer programmes, as well as help unite the efforts of volunteer organizations in the CIS and promote opportunities for the exchange of experience and the development of cultural ties among the youth of the region.
