Russian expert facilitates creation of COVID-19 electronic vaccine registry in Turkmenistan
As the coronavirus pandemic continues, many countries, including Turkmenistan, are actively conducting vaccination campaigns and establishing electronic registers of vaccinated citizens to record and systematize data on volumes and rates of vaccination.
The Director General of the Russian Digital Medicine Solutions Company, RBMIT, assisted the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan in establishing the electronic registry of people vaccinated against COVID-19.
During the past two months the Russian expert provided technical advisory support to the specialists of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, including the audit of the compliance of the electronic registry with the technical requirements. As a result, the expert provided technical recommendations concerning reliability, ergonomics, information security, integration with third party services and functional structure of the register, which will allow to improve the electronic register and better work with data. Also as a part of the assignment, recommendations for elements of the Ministry of Health's digital transformation strategy were formulated for subsequent integration of the register into a single information space.
It is expected that the Russian expert's work will improve registry and support the Ministry to determine the real scope of coverage of the vaccinated population which will help to plan vaccine supplies.
