Russian experts took part in the seminar on WTO accession in Belarus

In the framework of the project "Assisting the Government of the Republic of Belarus in Accession to the World Trade Organization through Strengthening National Institutional Capacity and Expertise" funded by the Russian Federation, the seminar was held on the 1st of December, 2017 year in Minsk. The participants discussed the issues of State support to agricultural and industrial producers as well as improving the legislative activities and law enforcement practice to reduce the risks of Belarus’ liability for the breach of obligations under the WTO Agreement.
Anait Smbatyan, the Russian expert, Doctor of Law, Deputy General Director of "WTO Expertise Center", was invited as a speaker at the seminar.
Vladimir Serpikov, the Head of the negotiating delegation on Belarus’ accession to the WTO, Ambassador-at-large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus informed the participants on the country’s progress towards the WTO accession.
The representatives of UNDP in Belarus, UNDP Regional Center for Europe and the CIS countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus, the Trade Mission of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Belarus as well as the representatives of majority of Belarussian ministries and agencies.
