Russian experts shared the experience on the Municipal Energy Management Systems development in Armenia

In March 2019 Vitaly Bekker and Andrey Dodonov, Russian energy experts, conducted the training as a capacity building on Energy Management Information System (EMIS) in the framework of UNDP-GCF joint project “De-risking and Scaling-up Investment in Energy Efficient Building Retrofits”. Representatives from 24 municipalities/communities and higher education institutions participated in the training where the best practices of Russia, Serbia and Croatia were presented.

Experts also contributed to development of the Guidance for Municipal EMIS in Armenia and a set of the training materials for municipal energy managers as well as prepared the practical tasks and examination materials to certify energy managers.

The work of both experts for the municipal energy management implementation in Armenia and capacity building of local specialists was highly appreciated by Yerevan Municipality.

The expert’s task was implemented under the project “Knowledge Management and Capacity Building in the Russia-UNDP Partnership”.
