Russian experts discussed the role of the Partnership for Sustainable Development and Russia in the implementation of the SDGs

The scientific and practical seminar "Partnership for Sustainable Development: Conclusions for Russia", organized by the Center for Research of International Institutes of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, took place in Moscow, Russia on October 17, 2019.

Participants discussed the contribution of the world's largest economies and informal institutions of global governance to the achievement of the global SDGs, promotion of the development of the poorest countries, trade and investment aspects of the SDGs, as well as highlighted the work on the implementation of the SDGs within the EEU.

Special place in the discussion was given to the implementation of the objectives of SDG 17 "Partnership for Sustainable Development" as the most overarching goal. Alexander Averchenkov, Head of Partnership Support Office in the Russian Federation, gave a detailed speech on the role of the Partnership for Sustainable Development and the role of Russia in the implementation of the SDGs in partner countries.

The seminar also presented the results of the research work of CIMI RANEPA "Analysis of the contribution of the G20 countries to the implementation of trade and investment directions within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals".

The event was attended by representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Russian scientific community.
