Russian company has created a series of educational video lectures on climate issues

Knowledge Management project has joined efforts with regional Climate Box initiative to launch nine high-impact video lessons for the “Climate Box” interactive learning platform, expanding its reach across 11 countries in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia.

Nine videos feature a climatologist, Associate Professor at the Department of Meteorology and Climatology, Faculty of Geography, Lomonosov Moscow State University (Moscow, Russia).

The videos are designed to explain complex climate issues to young learners. The curriculum provides a comprehensive journey through climate change: starting with causes and temperature trends, moving through consequences such as heat waves, forest fires, and ecosystem loss, and concluding with mitigation and adaptation measures. By translating scientific data into engaging visual narratives, these videos make climate change education more engaging and interactive, providing a toolkit to enhance climate literacy and foster critical thinking.

Beyond simple education, this initiative serves as a catalyst for climate literacy, transforming young students from passive learners into active problem-solvers. Educators, in turn, receive an expanded and more effective set of teaching tools.

The work of the Russian company is implemented with the financial support of the Russian Federation within the framework of the project "Knowledge Management and Capacity Development in the UNDP-Russia Partnership".
