Five Russian students started their internships in UNDP

Under the 2nd round of the Internships Programme, five Russian students received the opportunity to do internships with the Russia-UNDP Partnership team based in Moscow and continue the internships in UNDP offices in Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Istanbul Regional Hub. For a period up to 3 months the interns will provide communication support and assistance to UNDP in the implementation of the projects related to sustainable development and green economy, private sector engagement and innovative solutions for SDGs achievement and the other thematic areas.
The first round of the programme was successfully completed in 2017. Six interns returned from the UNDP country offices in Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Serbia and Tajikistan gained experience of living in other country and culture, working in the international organization in relevant fields and exploring workflow of UNDP offices as well as understanding of local context and practice in development assistance. The interns were provided with a unique opportunity to be familiarized themselves with the region-specific issues and their development prospects and to receive relevant field experience for professional development.
