Russia-UNDP Partnership celebrates ten years: UN in Russia bulletin highlights collaboration results
The Russia-UNDP Partnership and the Russia-UNDP Trust Fund are celebrating their tenth anniversary this year. An article about this milestone appears in the first issue of the UN in Russia bulletin for 2025 (January-March).
Since 2015, the number of Partnership projects has increased more than tenfold. Russia’s total funding has reached $150 million, enabling assistance to 38 countries worldwide, including Armenia, Belarus, Cambodia, Cuba, Guinea, Kyrgyzstan, Lao PDR, Madagascar, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Zimbabwe and many others. By the end of 2024, over 7 million people had benefited from the Partnership’s projects.
The article presents examples of implemented projects aimed at eradicating poverty, combating the effects of climate change, creating new economic opportunities for youth, and recovering from the global COVID pandemic.
