Monitoring mission of Russian delegation to Belarus

From May 11 to 15, 2026, a delegation representing the Steering Committee of the Russia-UNDP Trust Fund for Development visited the Republic of Belarus. The purpose of the trip was to review the progress of projects funded by the Russian Federation in the areas of ecotourism, youth innovation, vocational education, and the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals.

The delegation visited pilot project sites in the Grodno, Vitebsk, and Minsk regions. In the Ozery and Osveysky nature reserves, the visitors were introduced to new tourist routes, glamping sites, boat tours on Russian‑made vessels, and upgraded ecotourism infrastructure. At the Smilovichi State Agrarian College, the College of Modern Technologies in Mechanical Engineering and Car Service, and the EcoTechnoPark‑Volma Resource Center, the delegation toured modern laboratories and competence centers equipped with support from the Russian Federation. In Braslav, the mission participants learned about two local pilot initiatives — "Inclusive Beach" and "Accessible Tourism" — which help create conditions for people with disabilities to lead full lives.

The visit also included meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and at the UNDP country office, where both sides discussed the results achieved so far and explored opportunities for further cooperation.
