Kyrgyzstan is implementing energy-efficient lighting systems with support of the Trust Fund project
On December 20, 2019, a press tour to School №13 in Bishkek was organized to demonstrate energy-efficient and safe lighting in public buildings. Earlier the lighting system of six classrooms of this school had been modernized within the framework of cooperation between the Leader Light Trading House LLC (INCOTEX Group, Russian Federation) and the regional project "Standards and Regulations to Promote Energy Efficiency in the EAEC Countries" implemented by the UNDP in the Kyrgyz Republic with the financial support of the Russian Federation.
The press-tour included a demonstration of classrooms with new lighting systems, exchange of views with teachers, students and their parents on the results of using energy-efficient and quality lighting systems, introduced in Kyrgyzstan for the first time. The guests of the event replaced fluorescent mercury lamps in the school canteen with LED lamps produced by the Mailuu-Sui Electric Lamp Plant. Participants could see right away the difference between energy-efficient and quality lighting with their own eyes. It is worth noting that the cold white lightingproduced by the fluorescent lamps has now been changed for the warmer, more eye-comfortable lighting, which significantly improved the atmosphere and visibility in the school canteen.
The press tour was attended by Tolo Isakov, Director of the Department of Disease Prevention and Expertise of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Zoya Pak, Chief Specialist on School Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, Jenti Kirsch-Wood, Deputy UNDP Resident Representative in the Kyrgyz Republic and Renat Aghliullin, Specialist on Economic Issues of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kyrgyz Republic.
