Russian Challenge Fund – Results of the competition

The Knowledge Management and Capacity Building in the UNDP-Russia Partnership project finalized results of the competition for Russian companies and organizations on providing innovative solutions in the field of vocational education systems development - The Russian Innovative Solutions Challenge Fund (RCF).

Two Russian companies (WorldSkills Russia and the Social Investment Fund) and one individual entrepreneur were selected. Their innovative projects are aimed at transforming vocational education systems and integrating digital solutions into the personnel training systems of Azerbaijan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan.

WorldSkills Russia and the public foundation "Institute for youth development" in cooperation with other local partners will implement the Digital Solutions for Distance Learning and Assessment project in Kyrgyzstan in two phases: first, short intensive practice-oriented programmes including practical seminars, and training in conducting independent assessment. Second, Digital Skills championship will be conducted to scale up new tools and subsequent transformation of the entire training system in digital competencies in the country.

The Social Investment Fund jointly with Education Hub will contribute to the development of entrepreneurial thinking among college students in Azerbaijan. As part of the project, the Foundation's specialists will analyze existing educational programmes in the field of entrepreneurship for students and develop a full-time training programme for college teachers.

The individual entrepreneur Aleksandr Gorbachev, will work with the Francysk Skaryna State University of Gomel to develop an inclusive digital environment for advanced training in modern information technology in Belarus in order to ensure equal access to advanced training and retraining in modern information technology as well as a confident command of practical ICT skills for employment, decent work and entrepreneurship.
