Delegation from Uzbekistan Explores Russian Startup Support Practices
From April 6 to 11, 2026, a delegation from the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan paid a working visit to Russia. The trip aimed to exchange best practices in startup support and improve the regulatory framework for innovation.
In Moscow, the delegation met with representatives of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development. Discussions focused on legislative measures, startup support mechanisms, and opportunities for expanding bilateral cooperation. As part of the visit, the group toured the Skolkovo Innovation Center, where they learned about practical tools for supporting residents and explored the Technopark’s infrastructure.
The main part of the program took place in Kazan, where the delegation attended the 20th Russian Venture Forum. The head of the delegation spoke at one of the sessions, presenting Uzbekistan's venture and startup ecosystem. The participants also visited the IT Park named after Bashir Rameev to discuss startup development, attracting investment, and commercializing technology solutions.
The working visit was organized under two Russia‑funded projects: "Empowering the Youth to Embrace the Digital Economy and Digital Entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan" and "Knowledge Management and Capacity Development in Russia-UNDP Partnership."
