Meeting of the Russia-UNDP TFD Steering Committee on May 16, 2019

The members of the Steering Committee reviewed the project applications for funding from the Trust Fund submitted by UNDP offices and approved the allocation of $ 10 million for seven new projects in Belarus, Guinea, Cambodia, Cuba, Madagascar, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. In addition the Committee decided to allocate 536 thousand dollars for projects that are already underway in the CIS region countries.
The Committee discussed key parameters for the 2nd round of the project proposals competition within the Youth Window of the Trust Fund, and approved the list of countries that will be invited to participate in the competition (Guinea, Kenya, Cuba, Laos, Madagascar and Mozambique).
Representatives of the UNDP Regional Bureau, the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Environment and Nature Management, and the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs participated in the Steering Committee of the Russian Federation.
The next meeting will be held in October 2019.
