A сall for Russians to apply to the UN Volunteers Programme was announced
The UN Volunteer Programme (UNV), with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, is announcing a call for Russian citizens to work on UN projects and programs around the world. Applications will be accepted until July 25, 2018.
The UNV program has contributed to peace and sustainable development through volunteerism since the 1970. The key role of the organization is the recruitment, deployment and management of the work of qualified volunteers who provide support to UN agencies in implementing peace and development initiatives. In 2017, more than 6,500 people representing 100 different professional fields worked in 131 countries as UN volunteers.
This year, UNV offers 19 Russian citizens the opportunity to gain unique international experience and help the UN address the problems of sustainable development in 16 countries of the CIS, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
UNV will give Russians the opportunity to acquire invaluable skills and prospects for individual and career growth. According to the polls of the graduates of the program, more than 75 percent of the respondents noted that their experience as a UN volunteer was valuable for further career development and employment opportunities.
Volunteer service conditions:
• Monthly living allowance
• Preparation for departure and transport allowance
• Flight tickets
• Life and health insurance
• Annual leave (2.5 days / month)
• One-time payment upon return after assignment
