Russian accelerator FRII trains start-ups in Tajikistan
Development of entrepreneurship and business climate is a priority for the Republic of Tajikistan, which is promoted by the Russian accelerator Fund for Internet Initiatives (FRII), invited to work in the Republic at the initiative of UNDP in Tajikistan and with the financial support of the Russian Federation.
As part of the assignment, the FRII Accelerator developed a course to train local experts on the specifics of start-up ecosystem development.
On 15 April 2020 FRII conducted a webinar "Startup Guide. How to choose a foreign market and not regret it". The event touched on the peculiarities of foreign startup markets, their structure, and ways of entering foreign markets. The head of scouting at FRII also talked about possible difficulties that new startups may encounter in attracting investment in foreign markets.
More than 50 employees of the State Business Incubator of Tajikistan, Accelerate Prosperity Business Accelerator, PEAK Tajikistan, startups, consultants and mentors took part in the webinar. According to their estimates, the knowledge gained during the training will contribute to the development of a culture of innovation business and start-up ecosystem in Tajikistan.
FRII is a program for accelerated business development that includes consulting, educational, marketing and legal support, i.e. comprehensive business support: product and sales development, support of cooperation with strategic customers and attraction of investors in the following rounds.
The assignment is implemented in the framework of the project "Knowledge Management and Capacity Building in Russia-UNDP Partnership".
