Russian specialists contribute to the development of entrepreneurship in Tajikistan
The development of entrepreneurship and improvement of the business climate in Tajikistan is one of the top priorities for the Republic. To reach it UNDP in Tajikistan engaged the Russian accelerator "Internet Initiative Development Fund" (IIDF) with the financial support of the Russian Federation. IIDF shares its experience in developing innovation culture, business, and startup ecosystem in Tajikistan.
One of the tasks is to develop a mentoring program to improve the skills of local mentors for further training of entrepreneurs. To date, 8 classes of the program "Development of Startup Ecosystem Using Best International Practices" have been launched. 40 employees of the State Business Incubator of Tajikistan, Accelerate Prosperity business incubator, PEAK Tajikistan, startuppers, consultants, and mentors participate in the program.
The work of FRII specialists will contribute to the development of entrepreneurship in the Republic, increase the level of development of a number of private companies in Tajikistan, and the development of venture capital investment in the country.
FRII is a program for accelerated business development that includes consulting, educational, marketing, and legal support, i.e. comprehensive business support: product and sales development, support of cooperation with strategic customers, and attraction of investors in the following rounds.
The assignment is implemented in the framework of the project "Knowledge Management and Capacity Building in Russia-UNDP Partnership".
