Russia supports the improvement of trading houses performance in Turkmenistan
In recent years, there has been a large number of developments in the economy of Turkmenistan that have a positive impact on strengthening trade capacity of the country. Now Turkmenistan focuses on enhancing the level of competitiveness of national economy by strengthening qualification of professional staff of trade related institutions.
To complement the country’s strive towards increasing the level of qualification of professional staff and achieving practical results in the development of trade houses Russian expert conducted analysis on the existing practices, examined the legal and institutional framework of such activities and proposed recommendations on how to improve the performance and achieve practical results of trade houses and trade representations work in foreign countries.
At the end of the assignment Russian expert participated in the online seminar, which brought together the representatives of the line ministries and entities of Turkmenistan, including the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, Ministry of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Textile Industry, State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, State Customs Service, Main State Service "Turkmenstandartlary", State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, State Service for Sanitation and Disease Control and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
The assignment carried out by the Russian expert will support Turkmenistan in expanding the country's export potential and contribute to the efforts on economic recovery.
The work of the Russian expert was implemented with the financial support of the Russian Federation within the framework of the project "Knowledge Management and Capacity Building in the UNDP-Russia Partnership".
